PFOHC presents the 2026 Leadership Award to Jeff Banning! Jeff has been with PFOHC since day one. As a founding board member, he helped lay the groundwork for a community where outdoor adventure, connection, and quality of life go hand in hand. His leadership has touched nearly every corner of our work (and the Hendricks County community)—from guiding the organization in multiple leadership roles to championing events that get people moving, like the Park to Park Relay and the Summer Fun Run and Walk. If you’re looking for Jeff, you’ll probably find him out on the trails—biking, running, and wandering some of his favorite local spots like Swinford Park or one of our amazing state parks. Jeff often reminds us that parks don’t build themselves. It takes people showing up, pitching in, and believing in what’s possible. His impact is proof of that.
