The UK Pro Series is a new tennis tournament aimed at giving an opportunity to British tennis players to compete domestically. The first edition of the tournament took place in 2020 at St. Georges Hill LTC, when the United Kingdom was facing one of the toughest periods of the last few years due to the COVID-19 pandemic restrictions. Liam Broady, number 8 in the UK rankings, and Emma Raducanu, the 17-year old raising star of British tennis, were the first two UK Pro Classic champions, each crowned with an iconic golden pineapple trophy after 42 continuous days of elite competitive tennis. The UK Pro Series & Classic proved to be a successful tournament for all people involved and hopefully it will become a permanent fixture in the British tennis calendar in the years to come.
