Tribute to Cadaver. Song is taken from their brand new 'Hymns of misanthropy' release (which deserves a tribute in itself), which is actually pre'production demo for 1992's '... in pains' album from 1991. This song is "nowhere to hide" on "hyms of misanthropy" and it's "bypassed" on "...in pains". The video was edited from this awesome bootleg from 1993 which you can enjoy in its' original form right here: • CADAVER - LIVE IN LIVERPOOL 9/4/93 (FULL SET) I always really, really liked Cadaver's "...in pains" album, after initial "what's going on here?" reaction back in 1992. I remember how I was stunned with how different album it was after "hallucinating anxiety" debut album. While I heard tune or two from debut album via finnish "Metalliliitto" radio show, I didn't hear anything in advance from "...in pains" and as my bro ordered it (as suggested by me) in one of his massive vinyl orders back in those days, ... I expected nothing, but jaws certainly dropped. The soundscapes were so freakingly different if compared to "hallucinating anxiety". As time passed, I liked "...in pains" more and more. And I was really disappointed Cadaver's story ended there during the 1990s anyway - it was such a unique, different kind of death metal album. And I'm not just talking about that upright bass element ... which in itself was cool to say the least. Well, I've liked Cadaver's stuff in the 2000s as well and I'm happy they are still around, most definitely. And this release, "hymns of misanthropy" really caught me by surprise. I was never expecting to hear different version of "...in pains". It is different soundwise, it has also some guitar passages here and there which differ from actual "...in pains" album - but of course it's basicly the same album. It's just more rough sounding, but in a good & enjoyable way. It could be perhaps a nod faster too here and there. But it's a great thing to have, works like a special bonus if you like "...in pains" the way I do. Anyway, I just had to craft this little tribute piece for "hymns of misanthropy". Enjoy!
