We finally had a break from the winter weather, so I took advantage and hit the saddle. This time, we climbed Mount Diablo — and it was snow capped! That doesn’t happen often. We started on Mitchell Canyon Road with Anthony and Chris. Most of the climb was damp soil and gravel. The trail was wet but rideable. Legs were burning, lungs were working, but it felt good to be back. When we reached Juniper Campground, the rest of the climb turned into paved summit road. From there, we pushed to the top. The snow did not disappoint. There was enough to grab some awesome photos and video. Seeing snow at the summit made the long climb worth it. The ride down? FAST. We dropped almost 3,500 feet in about 8.5 miles. Smooth pavement, big views, and that cold mountain air rushing past. After a month off the bike, this was the perfect way to get back in the saddle. Ride on. 🤙 #MountDiablo #MitchellCanyon #EastBayMTB #BayAreaMTB #MountainBiking #MTBLife #MTBClimb #SnowRide #WinterRide #JuniperCamp #CaliforniaMTB #RideMore #925TrailRider
