Juni 2024 Auenkirche Berlin Wilmersdorf, Germany ADAGIO NUOVO is a paraphrase of a motif from Albinoni, seemingly discovered (though this remains questionable) in the mid-twentieth century by the Italian musicologist and composer Remo Giazotto. In my version, I used two time signatures. The first part of the piece is in 4/4, which gives it a more measured, even slow character. In the second part, the time signature of 3/4 (which is the original time signature) gives more dynamics and movement to the piece.
