Delaware County prosecutors say this one felt like a horror movie come to life, a man is accused of breaking into mausoleums and burial sites at Mount Moriah Cemetery, then stealing human remains, including infants and remains that could be up to 200 years old. Authorities say the suspect, Jonathan Christian Gerlock, was arrested after investigators say they connected him to multiple cemetery burglaries, then recovered more than 100 sets of human remains in a home and additional remains in a storage unit. Investigators also reference jewelry recovered, alleged tools left behind at the scene, and online activity involving “oddities” and skeletal remains groups, raising big questions about how this could happen for so long, and what the motive really was.
