Forests in cities: urban driven changes in plant recruitment dynamics Max Piana is a research ecologist at the US Forest Service's Northern Research Station and based in Amherst, MA. Max co-leads the Urban Silviculture Network, a collaborative group of practitioners and scientists, focused on developing and implementing evidence-based approaches to sustainably manage forests in cities.
