A spoken-sung piece inspired by the reflections of Alan Watts and Albert Camus. A piano drifts through a sky where time has dissolved. French and English. Spoken and sung. Real and imagined. From the upcoming Poésie Sonore collection. — Lyrics (spoken – hushed) – The future is a concept — it doesn’t exist. – There is no such thing as tomorrow. – Time is a construct of the mind, – an illusion we agree to believe in. [pause] (sung) I hold a clock that never moves, its hands just circle dreams. The light is old, the sound delayed — and I dissolve in the in-between. (spoken – French) – Tu ne seras jamais heureux – si tu cherches ce qu’est le bonheur. – Tu ne vivras jamais – si tu cherches le sens de la vie. [pause] (sung) So I stop searching, let it all unwind — not to find a reason, but to feel the time… that isn’t real. (spoken – final echo) – Real living is when the living moment – is all that there is. – Même la révolte… – naît de la présence.
