A new era at Balblair Distillery

With our new Distillery Manager, David Rogerson, now at the helm, you could be forgiven for thinking that it's a time of change at Balblair. As David points out, however, “my job isn’t to make Balblair my own, it’s to be next custodian and to carry on the legacy.” As he starts his journey as only the fourth Balblair Distillery Manager since 1969, David can be thankful that he has a team with almost 200 years' worth of experience behind him. One that he can truly rely upon when it comes to crafting our distinctive single malt whiskies. As David says, “this whisky is made by dedicated people, who are desperate not to make as much as possible, but to make it as good as they can. And if that takes more time then so be it.”
