The Mountain Rescue Association (MRA) was established in 1959 at Timberline Lodge at Mount Hood, Oregon making us the oldest Search and Rescue Association in the United States. The MRA is an organization of teams dedicated to saving lives through rescue and mountain safety education. We do so by improving the quality, availability, and safety of mountain search and rescue. With over 90 government authorized units, the MRA has grown to become the critical mountain search and rescue resource in the United States. 24/7. 365 days a year, these volunteer mountain rescuers are always there to help. Courage - Commitment - Compassion Produced by Mark Flagler and Flagler Films www.flaglerfilms.com Flagler Films would like to thank all the MRA teams and rescuers who provided footage for this video project including (but not limited to): Portland Mountain Rescue (Timothy Ozerkov), Weber County Search & Rescue (Eli Whitman), Malibu Search & Rescue Team (Douglas Sarine), Rocky Mountain Rescue (Ross Stoner), Seattle Mountain Rescue Team (Paul Bongaarts), Southern Arizona Rescue Association (Sean Fawcetts), Santa Clara County Search & Rescue (Michael Yonchenko), Appalachian Mountain Rescue (Ian Balman), Karsten Delap, Salt Lake County Sheriff's Search and Rescue, Everett Mountain Rescue Unit, Olympic Mountain Rescue, Tacoma Mountain Rescue, Central Washington Mountain Rescue, Bellingham Mountain Rescue, Inland Northwest Search & Rescue and Alpine Rescue Team.
