It's crucial to recognize the strength and behavior of ice to ensure safe passage. You also need to know how you check the ice. Finally, you need to know what to do if your friend is going through the ice. The situation on a frozen lake can change from a nice Sunday walk into a fight for your life in a second. One mistake and you end up in the cold water. Then you must know how to get out of the water. After that, you are wet and cold. If you manage to come out of the water it can quickly be a dangerous survival situation where you can get hypothermia. Our advice to you is clear.
