Welcome to another important session of Coding–Decoding in our Foundation Batch 2026 for all Banking Exams. In this lecture, we will cover Clock Based Coding, a unique and logical pattern asked in SBI, IBPS, RRB and RBI Assistant exams. Clock Based Coding is based on the concept of arranging alphabets according to a 12-hour clock pattern. Instead of the regular A=1 to Z=26 format, letters are adjusted within the range of 1 to 12, just like hours in a clock. When values exceed 12, they rotate back from 1, similar to how a clock works after 12. For example, if a letter position goes beyond 12, we apply modulo logic (subtract 12) to bring it within the clock cycle. This creates interesting patterns of shifting, addition, subtraction, and rotation. In this session, you will learn: • How to convert alphabet positions into clock format • How to apply forward and backward shifting using 12-hour logic • How to handle values greater than 12 • How to identify clock rotation patterns in exam questions • Shortcut methods to solve quickly in Prelims We will start with simple examples to build clarity and then move toward moderate and exam-level practice questions. Step-by-step explanation will help you avoid confusion and increase accuracy under time pressure. Clock Based Coding becomes very easy once you understand the cyclic nature of 12-hour rotation. Regular practice will help you recognize patterns instantly during the exam. Watch the full lecture, attempt the homework question, and revise regularly. Strong conceptual clarity in coding will improve your overall reasoning performance in Banking 2026. 🧠 3️⃣ Lecture Structure (30–35 Minutes) 🔹 Part 1 – Concept Introduction (5 min) What is Clock Based Coding?
