The Silk'n Flash and Go - an introduction by CURRENTBODY. The Flash and Go is a home laser hair removal device. The device uses HPL which is home pulsed light as opposed to the IPL used in salons. It's very simple to use, simply plug into a socket and switch the device on. You're then looking for two green lights that are on either side of the device which will light up when it is ready to use. You then apply the end of the device on the area you wish to treat. The green lights will flash when they have located a hair follicle to treat. There are three levels of intensity, level one being great for delicate areas and the higher levels for legs and arms. The device comes with two cartridges. The larger cartridge has 5000 flashes for use on the legs, arms and back. The smaller cartridge is great for smaller areas like the face and bikini line. There are restrictions with any HPL devices. It is not recommended to use HPL or IPL devices on dark skin as the flash can mistake the skin for a hair folicle and flash into the wrong place. The Silk'n Flash and Go has a unique sensor that can identify dark skin and the flash simply won't go off. We recommend you use 50+ sunblock for 2 weeks after you perform a treatment. You must also bear in mind the hair growth pattern. Hair is in 3 growth stages so what you see on the surface of the skin does not account for all the hair follicles you have. You can treat all the hairs in the growth stage then in 6 months time, you have more hairs appear. It can seem like the hair you treated is growing back but actually, this is hair that was resting now in the growth period. So we recommend you perform treatments over a period of 24-36 months to make sure you cover all the hair cycles.
