Dimarzio Bluesbucker is an interesting humbucking pickup that has one active side (with screws) while the other side is much weaker and is used for humbucking purposes. So the tone in series wiring mode (usual humbucking mode) is closer to fat single-coil, resembling P90 style pickups. In a parallel connection, it is very bright, glassy, and significantly lower in output. I really love this fact, as I can play clean parts in parallel mode, and then by switching to series mode is like activation of a screamer type OD - I get the fatter and louder tone that can crank the amp and get me a sustain. The guitar is modded Ibanez RG321. The body is alder, the neck is maple. Amp is Supro T Model from Overloud FAT Summer rig. I installed the Bluesbucker with screws (active side) towards the bridge. For fatter tones, it can be installed with screws closer to the neck.
