BREAKING NEWS: NEW CAR IN SERVICE: Palisades Mall Elevators are being Modernized! (Mod In Progress)

Recorded 9/6/2025: Well, I'm sure this mod in progress is relatively old news at this point, however, Car #7 (the modded car) is now active! I'll be honest, overall this mod is not bad. I like the new LED lights, the new stainless steel walls, and the fact that these talk to you now. Although I will say that the thing I do not like about the mod is that these now run SLOWER than the original MontgomeryKONEs and they have a massive oversmoothness to them, which robs the efficiency (starting up & leveling) and the fun thrust that the original cars were known for. Even the 1 floor trips are a little more-so on the painful side as they run even slower in those scenarios. At least the door close button is more responsive on the modded car. Also, this is minor, but the voice calls the parking level platform for some reason lol! Maybe they could’ve labeled parking level as Garage instead of P for parking so the voice doesn’t get confused. But that’s whatever. Even though the mod is kinda cool and in some ways an improvement, I'll miss the old MontgomeryKONEs as I basically grew up & loved riding these as a kid! I always loved these glass cars, how they rode, and the florescent lights passing by in the shaft, especially back when they were color coded! I'll miss these things! Palisades Mall, if y'all are able to save some parts, I'd love to snag them! Anyways, I hope you enjoy the first video of the modded car running as well as taking a ride on the original cars while they are still here as of 9/6/2025!
