The Boosted Gear was wasted on a weakling like him. Without help from others, he couldn't truly face anyone. It was always with them that he could win. He was never able to win alone... All his life. In the final moments that he lay in Rias' arms, he thought, 'I wish I could have been stronger... Such that I never had to rely on others.... Doing and saving them all alone... I.. wish I could have done it all... Solo.' And in that moment, as though the world itself had heard his wish he saw a blue light obstructing his vision, written, 'Welcome Player! ' And that was when things changed.
