Mercedes Toliver is a loving Daughter & aspiring military member who was last seen on 12/17/2016. A young Mercedes Toliver: 18 at the time, was last seen near her home on the block of 300 Roston Road wearing a red hoodie with a yellow shirt underneath and grey sweatpants. She is described as 5'3" tall and weighs 120 pounds. She has black hair and brown eyes. Mercedes Toliver’s aspiration was to join the Air Force. In 2016, the 18-year-old at the time had just graduated from Prescott High School in her hometown of Arkansas and spent her summertime studying for the ASVAB test in Kansas where her cousin worked at McConnell Air Force Base. Hard evidence has been difficult to come by; Prescott Police Chief Joseph Beavers told Dateline the case is still open, and they are looking into all tips they receive although they haven’t received any in some time. Very few if any have spoken up but time may begin to tell a different story. What makes this case bone chilling is the fact that within the dead of the night a single argument led to such a timeline of events unraveling. Mercedes seemed to be well known in the community and missed by her peers. It was clear she wanted a better life for herself which is why she wanted to go the military and leave the deep south.
