The "Yellow Court Classic" states: "The Six Jia protect my body, the Six Ding guard my soul; when internal and external correspond, longevity and clarity of vision follow." The "Supreme Numinous Treasure Great Dharma" records: "The Six Jia move externally, the Six Ding guard internally; when internal and external correspond, ten thousand evils cannot invade." Jia is the first of the ten Heavenly Stems, while Ding is the essence of Yin fire. Among them, the Six Jia belong to Yang, are male deities, primarily guarding the physical body; the Six Ding belong to Yin, are female deities, primarily guarding the inner mind. The two complement each other through Yin-Yang harmony. The Six Jia Divine Generals possess the tremendous power of thunderbolts, while the Six Ding Divine Generals have the strength to crush mountains and reverse seas, intimidating the entire heaven and earth. Through the power of this mantra, one can summon the protection of the Six Ding and Six Jia Divine Generals.
