The Melagavi lighthouse (Φάρος Μελαγκάβι) or Heraion lighthouse (from the ancient temple of Hera located near it) at the northern entrance of the bay of Corinth and separates it from the Gulf of Alkyonides to the north. The lighthouse was built in 1897, while the year 1947 was renovated to its current form. The building has a T-shaped floor plan and on its west side the square tower with the lighting cage develops.
