Seven nights in the KTP at end of February / beginning of March 203. Where the rains had fallen the fresh green contrasts with the red sands. It was hot! There were herds of game and stretches with very little, but it's a stunning landscape. Six separate lion sightings, 2 cheetah sightings, largest herd of oryx in the dunes to Bitterpan (over 50), meerkats, owls, wild cat and lots of interest. Flew Johannesburg to Upington, rented a 4x4 from Kalahari 4x4 - which was excellent - stayed at River Bank Lodge - which was very nice - and ate at the Red Ox Steakhouse - which was also excellent!
