In this video we go from 3D mockup to printed parts to a complete DIY build. On V2 we’ve added a real-time top-down radar system for proximity flying, dog-fighting, and general situational awareness with friends. It’s still in beta, but already offers a weather-radar-style bird’s-eye view that’s more intuitive and game-like than a traditional jet radar. You can also overlay fully customizable simulated air traffic to practice formation flying or mock dogfights. We’ve replaced the old button menu with a Wi-Fi access-point interface so you can tweak traffic layers, warning thresholds, and radar modes on the fly. Footage recorded on OpenIPC hardware.
