John Cleese and Connie Booth's masterpiece has been adapted three times in America and once in Germany. This video essay documentary takes a look at each one: Snavely, Amanda's, Payne and Zum Letzten Kliff. Fawlty Towers starred John Cleese as Basil Fawlty, Prunella Scales and Sybil Fawlty, Andrew Sachs as Manuel, and Connie Booth as Polly. It ran on the BBC for two series in 1975 and 1979. In 2023, John Cleese announced that he will reboot Fawlty Towers with the help of his daughter. Snavely starred Harvey Korman and Betty White, and was made in 1978 for ABC.
