And Thanks to Sevenfold for the thumbnail picture! So around the 8th of August I had a The Observer video ready to post, wasn't completely happy with it as alertcomp was so inconsistent, but I was showing at least the changes that she got from prior, but well in the same day an update came out that has fully "fixed" the whole alertcomp issue. So now we got a fully working Junko, where she's an actual threat to be chased by! So this video focuses on that, and it shows also all the changes she's gotten! Parts of the old video were made into Outtakes. Junko, The Observer is an original creation, one of the SF2Touhou entities. A blind entity who watches over the world with it's many many separated eyes spread all over the world. Utilizing its base looks on the Touhou 15 character of Junko, and "technically" the eye might be inspired by the minecraft mod of Dimensional Doors, maybe. This boss was made by Sevenfold and can be found in Pack 9. This boss now consists of two entities. The Eye and Junko, The Observer. Paranoid had to be disabled/removed due to the way the alertcomp was fixed, which completely break the way those "fake eyes" worked. The boss has also gained a constant overlay effect for the entirety of the round, making everything look almost black and white, with the color red still being able to be seen somewhat through the overlay. Eye is a chaser that spawns in a hidden state, not being visible at all except for its red glow on the ground. Having a changing grace time to start chase depending on difficulty (2.0s | 1.8s | 1.5s | 1.2s | 1.0s), it's main purpose upon starting chase is to alertcomp Junko to autochase. Eye is completely deaf, but has overall good vision range, as well as 360 vision. For the amount of Eyes, 2 on Normal-HC, 3 Insane-Nightmare and 4 on Apollyon. The Eyes no longer get slowed down when looked at, as they got at max speeds on chase, doing a silent attack that deals about 3 damage when touching its target, making it despawn upon doing so. Eye can be melee killed, only requiring a single hit, which scout and spy can also do. Junko, The Observer is a blind persistent survival chaser/charger depending on difficulty. Having now increased idle-life time, that increases more on higher difficulty, with many other stat changes, she will for sure trigger the autochase of the eye's alertcomp, no matter where she is. Her speed is very well balanced from Normal to Insane, as you can keep good distance from her attacking at all as long as you are looking at her to slow her down, so most classes can survive her chase with good movement, however once she gets too close to you, she will most likely not miss her insta-kill attack now. On Nightmare there's no escaping her, unsure if her chase duration has been changed at all, it is likely infinite still, but due to the new speeds, not even Escape Plan Soldier will survive a chase in nightmare for more than 10 seconds. So a couple of general changes I could mention, is that Junko static on look is a lot slower in increasing, so it allows you to watch her more for longer to give you a better chance to survive a chase. She has also gained kill messages, all SF2Touhou bosses have gotten updated kill messages! An extra unique feature added for Junko it's the "senses", what does this do is to block any sound, to make it impossible for her to enter alert state. The reason this was added is to avoid her following people around and also allowing her to randomly respawn too, as she requires her hearing range for alertcomp to trigger! Now this boss has become a full on stealth encounter whenever she appears, as avoiding the eyes sometimes can be hard to do so! Eyes might look very balanced with such high grace but they end up catching you off guard at times, so the tense time of the chase is wild and the Nightmare where stealth is so necessary to just live. Overall, I'm happy that the alertcomp works now, she's fun and unique! Playing Metal Gear Solid here!
