This Month’s Speaker: Pastor Lynn Phipps Lead Pastor; Burrell Chapel Baptist Church Admissions Advisor, Master of Divinity Student; Grace School of Theology Pastor Lynn Phipps previously served as an associate minister of the New Pleasant Grove Baptist Church where Dr. Wiley L. Dunn, Sr. was his lead pastor. During his time in this church, he was responsible for leading many study groups, youth ministries, and men's ministries. Transitioning to serve beyond the church, Lynn and his family moved back to where he grew up and began to serve in two different locations on the North Side of Houston, Texas. Though they had the goal to establish a church, the doors did not open as he expected. Not willing to give up on this mandate given by the Lord, an opportunity presented itself in the Angleton, Texas area. A small group of believers at Burrell Chapel gave him an invitation to come and lead them into the future. After being convinced in his heart that this was the Lord's will, Lynn accepted the challenge and decided to move forward with the small group of parishioners that promised to be the groundwork for new ministry opportunities. Since then, his entire family has been serving the Lord faithfully at Burrell Chapel Baptist Church. Lynn and his wife Kia have been married for almost 18 years and are the proud parents of three children: Mikayla, Lyndon, and Kiara. After graduating with his Master of Arts in Biblical Studies degree, Lynn is currently taking up his Master of Divinity while serving as an Admissions Advisor at Grace School of Theology. --- The chapel service is open to all Grace faculty members, staff, students, alumni, donors, and friends — everyone is welcome!
