The Glengarnock Spout from Kilbirnie 1/4/23

We all met up in the Tesco car park in Kilbirnie, after being briefed on the walk we set off past Radio City on our way through Kilbirnie heading for Holehouse farm passing Glengarnock Castle ruin on our right handside then it was Northwards up into the lower Kilbirnie hills, the track was undulating here with plenty of ups and downs then after passing Blacklaw hill on our left we soon arrived at the spout, there was very little flow of water from the spout which was surprising but it may have something to do with pipework works taking place further up the Glengarnock river, looking across towards the Murchan spout there seemed to be a better flow of water . After exploring about a bit we settled down for our lunch at the Spout ,then it was off again on our way back to Kilbirnie through very pleasant hill scenery and affording us excellent views back to Kilbirnie It was a very enjoyable walk in excellent company enjoyed by all.
