#pso2ngs #pso2 #ngs #バレットボウ After doing all 10 of the original duels on old gear, I finally geared up to do this fight for a nice video. I think this fight is okay, there are some things I like and other things that I think really bring it down. The boss AI starts to break the second you move to certain points on the map, and other parts of the map have uneven footing that causes a lot of its attacks to miss you, so I basically had to fight the boss in about a quarter of the map size to make sure things were working properly which can be very difficult to do with how much Bow moves during combat and how many gap closers the boss has. The boss can also feel a bit monotonous with lingering hitboxes leading me to just sit there and spam counters in place, but it is what it is. I do like the cage move, I think it is a lot better than Masquerade's cage since you can actually keep fighting the boss while it happens instead of it just putting a pause on the entire fight for a minigame. I do think the boss's first phase shouldn't have a ton of orange moves that are all counterable and then have a giant orange cage that isn't counterable though. That just feels like a mistake or something and it only serves to confuse players. Overall I think this run went very well. This isn't my first time getting this time on this fight, but this is definitely the best looking run that wasn't carried by lucky crits as much as the others. My initial goal was actually to just do a sub 5 and I was stuck at like :07 for the longest time, but finally found the right flow and managed to get a huge chunk of time shaved. There were a few small mistakes such as a hit that I really shouldn't have taken and a few wasted moves, but this run actually landed an insane 5/5 weakpoint PB and a full weakpoint AB right after cage which was massive. Finding Blitz Cascade (the 3x UC.Flexes I was doing) windows was really important here, since landing it is a big chunk of extra flat potency that Bow's Uncharged gameplay really lacks. The big way this run could have improved was on the down though. It was a pretty good down, but if I had Brave Combat and After Combat PA Extension ready, I could have used Brave Combat to cause the down and then gotten 4 Attack Impact C.Ceaseless on the down instead of the 3 I got here, but it's not a huge deal. I think if I had managed to get that, and I had crit both of the C.Ceaseless on the final down this would have been a sub 50 but I got tired of trying. This boss can be very tricky and that's why I started having to play it a bit slow during the purple phase. Especially with its dive kicks, it likes to alternate the heights it jumps to beforehand which makes the difference on whether I can fit a PA in between the boss jumping and the boss kicking. If I use a PA on a short jump, he will almost always hit me and due to the nature of the boss and overlapping attacks it usually one shots me and that's just not a risk I was willing to take after landing the huge PB AB combo prior. I think if I hadn't done a UC.Firework into Elusion Plus right at the start of the final down and had instead started my C.Ceaseless chain immediately I could have also gotten a sub 50, but I wasn't fully confident in when the boss was going to go down because it felt different every run. I needed to almost instantly use my Brave Combats as they came off cooldown because the extra AI gauge gained from After Combat PA Extension doesn't really do anything outside of C.Ceaseless windows, so there was no reason to be holding my Brave Combats for the 15x hit counter combo and instead I could focus on using them quickly to have them line up better with when I needed them. Managing Brave Combat, Attack Impact, and especially Blitz Cascade can be a bit much against a boss with as much visual clutter and overlapping attacks as this one, so I'm glad I was able to get a really nice looking run.
