We taste a Primitivo made from the Zinfandel grape but tastes completely different from its brothers and sisters grown in California because of the differences in terroir (soil and climate). This wine is produced in the Puglia region situated in the far southeastern corner of Italy. The wine sells in the UK for £9.99, not cheap but not expensive. It has a light and vibrant colour with a slight purple hue. On the nose the first smell one detects is cheery and it is also the first taste you get when drinking it. The wine is not as thin as it's colour suggested. In pairing terms, we felt that this wine would pair well with a pizza or perhaps a spaghetti Bolognese. In terms of cheese, John M would pair this with a Caerphilly cheese or perhaps a 3 month old Manchego. 00:00 Introduction 00:34 The Colour 01:25 The Nose 01:50 The Taste 02:32 The Price 04:32 Pairings 05:52 The Score Social Media YouTube - / winemastery Instagram - / winemastery Twitter - / @winemastery Facebook Page - / winetastingcourse Remember to subscribe to http://www.youtube.com/subscription_c...
