This is the version of Sat In Your Lap that was first released in 1981, a year before the album it was included on - The Dreaming. Kate has made several comments on this mix, such as; "The single mix is different from the album. We very much wanted to do another mix. The album has a definite flavour that was confirmed by the mixes, so we wanted ``Sat In Your Lap'' to be a part of that. The voice was also deliberately lifted, because we had quite a lot of feedback about the lead voice being a little quiet on the single version." You might notice the lack of 'breathy parts' at the begining that would accompany the piano on the album version, the piano is higher in the mix, and the vocals are a lot quieter. In the re-mixed version. the drums became more prominant to fit in with the heavy sounds of The Dreaming. My apologies for the low-quality audio file, it's the only one I could find! If you could offer a higher quality file, that would be brilliant!
