Hey there, neighbors, this is Kevin here with etrailer. And today, I have my friend Ron in from SmartPlug, and he's gonna be telling us a little bit more about how SmartPlug is making your camping and boating experiences much safer. So safety is the top priority when it comes to SmartPlug. What kind of innovations are you guys making to get to that point where you guys are the number one safety product out there Well, we start with the internal structure and design of the product. It was designed originally to reduce fire risk, not only on RVs, but also boats. What we've taken here is a FLIR photograph, which is a thermal photograph of a brand-new SmartPlug with a brand-new twist lock. And you can see from this signature that we have much higher heat on these brand-new units going through the cords into the coach. What this as a result is, is SmartPlug uses a metal structure internally that is 27 times more metal-to-metal contact, and that reduces heat signature as it reduces the ohmage or the resistance of flow of electrons. So we see it from cooler to hotter. This is definitely a hotter unit from the beginning, and it'll eventually potentially into a fire risk. So I understand you have, actually, a perfect example of this from one of your guys' trips. Can you tell me a little bit more about that So this is an example of the failure mode that occurs from a typical twist lock system in the market. This unit actually came to us at a rally. One of the rallygoers thought their coach was starting on fire that morning. There was smoke coming out of their inlet. They gave this unit to us after they replaced it. And what we see is the typical failure mode of a twist lock inlet and cord set. One of the pins is showing a characteristic burn mark, which is from overheating. And on the plug connection side, we see we're actually starting to melt the connection. So, this is the inevitable failure mode of this product. We get corrosion into this because it's not waterproof. Corrosion will eventually lead to sparking, and sparking is what eventually starts fires. So SmartPlug is designed to completely eliminate this risk and ergonomically a much friendly package as you're installing this unit. So one of the pain points of the original twist lock, which, by the way, was invented in 1938, is the unfriendliness of this connection, making it and unmaking it on your coach. So if you've dealt with these, which most of us have, we know that there's a, what's called the L-shaped pin on this unit that you have to line up with the L-shaped inlet on this connector. And many of cases have been heard at the campgrounds of people trying to fit this together. Sometimes on your hands and knees, sometimes in the rain with a flashlight in your hand at night. It's very difficult to make this up. And when you do, you have to make sure that you're holding it tight while you tighten the ring, which we see most people don't do. What SmartPlug was able to do when we reinvented this whole package is we developed a system that you don't even have to look at to engage. (plug clicking) It feeds straight in and locks. It has four different locking structures, the lid being one of them, but with these two side levers self-engaging, (lever clicking) snaps down, this is an IP56 waterproof connection, which means no wate
