Born and raised in Dubai, UAE, Maitha Alawadi explores the idea of defining your identity without following the traditional path set by others around you. Born and raised in Dubai, UAE, Maitha Alawadi was surrounded with rapidly growing industries, one of which was media, which define the city beautifully. Her media journey started in Melbourne, Australia, where she moved to pursue a degree in Digital Media and discovered her true passion in directing. After 6 years living abroad, she returned to the UAE and is currently employed at the UAE's largest radio networking company ARN (Arabian Radio Network). She works as a reporter for the talk show radio station, Dubai Eye 103.8, producing feature packages and appearing on "The Word" every Thursday to talk about the latest in Film and Television. In her free time she works on her scripts and novels.
