METAKNOTEN is a network collective of international artists, musicians, programmers, engineers, organizers and free spirits in Dresden. The range of projects realized by the association's members to date includes numerous workshops, exhibitions, concerts, festivals, camps and happenings. The METAKNOTEN association was founded in 2021 to create a networking point in the field of interest of "self-made electronic art". Makroplastik are Steffen Koritsch (ELECTRONICS / VOCALS / STUFF) and Nils Weishaupt (DRUMS / VOCALS / STUFF) - a drum kit, a suitcase full of self-made devices and two mics. The macroplastik are not made up of songs and fixed attributions. the macroplastik are processes. the rough idea. a space for the detail-loving coincidences of the moment. Macroplastik are present, transient and fragile. they can be loud, painful and rousing. disturbingly calm, excitingly quiet and rapturously dreamy. VEB-Farben sees itself as a loose VJ collective from Dresden. Our aesthetics are determined by the use of video technology that has long been obsolete.
