In this tutorial, we demonstrate how to create fully parametric hollow cylinders in ANSYS SpaceClaim by combining parameters and scripts. Enjoyed this CFD tutorial? ☕ Support FluidXAV to keep learning content coming: https://buymeacoffee.com/xavgroup A common challenge in parametric modeling is maintaining a constant wall thickness when changing the outside diameter (OD) of a cylinder. By default, SpaceClaim does not provide direct equation-based parameter linking between dimensions such as OD and inside diameter (ID). In this video, we show a simple and robust scripting approach that allows you to link the inner and outer diameters, so modifying a single parameter automatically updates the geometry while preserving the wall thickness. This method is especially useful for: Parametric studies CFD geometry preparation Design optimization workflows Reusable and robust CAD models This tutorial is part of the ANSYS Fluent Q&A playlist, where we answer practical questions related to SpaceClaim, Fluent Meshing, and CFD-focused geometry modeling. #ANSYS #SpaceClaim #ParametricModeling #CFD #Fluent #Engineering #CAD #Scripting #DesignAutomation #FluidXAV 00:00 Introduction 02:35 Start Script in SpaceClaim 05:50 Run Script in SpaceClaim 06:18 How to delete a geometry with Script 07:55 Define variables in the Script in SpaceClaim 09:35 Publish as a Group in Script 10:45 Define parameters with Script in SpaceClaim 🔔 Subscribe for weekly Ansys Fluent and CFD tutorials: [ / @fluidxav ] 👍 Like | 💬 Comment | 📤 Share with your CFD network
