FACTS: 1) The Greens (homeowners) signed a written agreement with Ever-Tite Roofing Corp. to re-roof their home. 2) The contract stated that Ever-Tite's acceptance was subject to approval of the homeowners' credit. 3) The agreement did not specify a time limit for acceptance. 4) Ever-Tite checked and approved the Greens' credit, but this took some time. 5) After credit approval, Ever-Tite: A. loaded roofing materials onto its trucks. B. sent a crew to the Green's house to begin work. 6) When the crew arrived at the house, they discovered that Greens had hired another roofing company. 7) The Greens claimed they had revoked the offer before Ever-Tite accepted. COURT'S HOLDING: The court held that Ever-Tite accepted the offer by beginning performance, and the Greens' revocation came too late. Watch one of my favorite legal case story! Adams v.
