AMAZON RIVER TOUR - PERU / IQUITOS

This video / slideshow shows some of my impressions from my unforgettable trip to the Peruvian Amazon near Iquitos (in northern Peru, on the banks of the Amazon). From here, I was able to comfortably explore the Amazon by a small boat and also spent a few nights in the city of Iquitos where I rented a wonderful and affordable appartment with fantastic views of the Amazon River. One of the outstanding highlights was definitely my visit to a native tribe (the indigenous community 'Yahuas') and the fun fact that I got to feed to feed the incredible hungry piranhas and paiches. Another truly inspiring experience was the sanctuary for wild animals that had been confiscated from poachers, where some really beautiful and unique animals were kept in care for a few weeks before being released back into the wild (including sloths, anacondas, monkeys, toucans, parrots and many more). In any case, this trip was (once again) a real highlight in my life and I couldn’t be mor grateful 🤩 I hope you will enjoy watching the video 😊 If you have any comments, questions or suggestions, please let me know in the comments and I will be happy to respond.
