This means you have spent healthy time, alone, discovering who you are. You’re not dependent on your partner to make you happy or feel love. You continue to spend time alone even while in the relationship because you don’t want to smother each other. Nature is a great place to do this. Without technology :) 2. LISTEN to yourself and to your partner. The ego always wants to be right. It also seeks validation by being “smart” Both people want to feel heard. So when your partner is talking, be present with them by making deep eye contact. Undistracted time together can really help build strong connection. 3. Support your partner. If they are feeling emotional, create a loving space just for them to open. A safe container, without judgment. You create the safe environment for which they can open and heal. You don’t need to fix them or give them all the answers. Just be a loving space for them. 4. Speak your truth. Even when you feel uncomfortable, honor your space and speak how you feel. If you feel hurt, say it. Your partner isn’t a mindreader. Don’t be afraid to tell them how you are feeling. This will build strong trust between both of you. 5. Show appreciation for the little things. One of the biggest things that lacks in most relationship is a constant appreciation for your partner because of familiarity. We get comfortable with them and start to take them for granted. When in the beginning we were so grateful to have attracted them into our life. With appreciation, everything grows.
