Prepping always comes first. She had some flaking and dry scalp, so I started with Biolage Scalp Sync Shampoo and Scalp Sync Tonic to help lift dirt, loosen flakes, and properly cleanse the scalp so we can prep it safely for braids. Because her hair itself was also very dry, I followed up with Design Essentials Honey Crème Shampoo to support moisture retention and softness. Ideally, she really needs a deep conditioning treatment, but we’re working with what we have today. She’ll be back for treatments and a silk press so we can really see what the hair is giving once it’s fully restored. Healthy scalp, moisturized hair, and a plan that’s how we do it over here 💅🏽
