Oglethorpe police officer shot a burglary suspect Tuesday night.It happened around 11 pm. According to a release from Police Chief David Eubanks, officers came across a burglary-in-progress at the Gateway Antique Mall on Cloud Springs Rd. Officers surrounded the building and when the suspect fled, a"confrontation" with an officer ensued. That's when the officer shot the suspect that hasn't been identified.The suspect's injuries were not life-threatening.Chief Eubanks did not say if, or how, the suspect was armed.We will have more on the story as it becomes available.There was another unrelated officer-involved shooting in Grundy County Tuesday night.
