You lift me up

Some people love doing crane work some people hate it, me i quite enjoy the break from bucket work now and then, this time its lifting shutters into place to build a concrete retaining wall, some of the shutters where pretty big too, they ranged from 1 to 3.2 ton, and due to the shape of the wall and the limited access we had to work with getting the bigger sections in behind the wall was a nice little challenge, it all meant a bit of forward planning and plenty of teamwork, with a top notch team on the ground and scaffolds and the various cameras and 2 way radios the entire operation was under complete control and nobody was left guessing whats going on or reacting to stuff in a panic, with many pairs of eyes and the camera and radios the shutters were able to be lifted in and out of place in a very controlled fashion, the guys on the radios where behind the wall and always relaying instructions to me in the cab with my earpiece, this meant i could hear and talk back if i needed to, it really was a team effort with none of the more usual shouting and rushing about with arms flapping iv experienced on other jobs with different crews This is just a loose collection of some clips of the job not a complete picture but you get the idea, when the shutters where fixed into place i'd scuttle out the way to let the concrete pump setup and pour and then the next morning it would be time to strip the shutters and move them along , like i say not everyone's cup of tea but i enjoy a bit now and then
