Hey Everyone, If you are new here then welcome!! If you are a regular viewer then you'll know I have two young children and live with my partner Matt and our dog Bear and we are always on a mission to save money on our weekly food shop. I stumbled across something super random the other day - FRESH MONDAYS with UBER EATS. I had never heard of this concept before but wanted to give it a try to see if it really would save us money on our weekly fruit and veg. So the concept is simple.. every Monday UBER EATS offers 50% off supermarket fruit and veg if you buy through the app. We used Waitrose as that's our local store but it's not limited to just this supermarket. Depending on where you live the app will offer you your own supermarkets. I ended up spending £22.11 on fresh fruit and vegetables that will last the week for us. Pretty good?! However when you add on the apps charges (bag charge, service charge and delivery fee £6.28) the total bill came to £28.39. This brings the total cost to roughly what I would normally spend on fresh fruit and veg per week. So is this a good deal... like I said in the video - I'm not sure. I have definitely received high quality food with long lasting dates with a record breaking delivery time. So if the ease of the service and the quality of the products are the same cost as how I normally get the items (which probably aren't as good quality) then I would probably still continue to shop this way! I hope you enjoyed the video and I'll see you in my next one.
