How I Annotate and Remember What I Read!!! (War and Peace edition) // 2021

Hi Friends!!! My name is Carolyn, and I am an excessive annotater! :P hahaha Okay, in all seriousness, I'm very excited to talk to you all about how I annotate and remember what I read. These are two aspects of reading that I'm incredibly passionate about! In this video, I'm using my annotations from War and Peace to show you how much fun and helpful annotating can be! Let me just say, there are some very special books (like my Penguin Clothbound Classics) that I barely touch, let alone hold a highlighter to! There are some books that I would never think to annotate, because the idea of dog earring its pages gives me chills...(dramatic but true)! Then, we have my wonderful paperbacks, which I love seeing all tabbed, highlighted, spine cracked, completely well read and well loved! (duality my friends)! The greatest thing about annotating, is that there are no rules! You can annotate however you wish! If you want to highlight every word, you can! If you want to tab every page with an even number, I don't know why you'd want to do that, but YOU CAN! It's all up to you! There is no right or wrong way of annotating! :) I hope by showing you how I annotate, and therefore remember what I read, it may help you with your reading and remembering in some way too!
