BIRDS OF THE WORLD - A SIBLEY-AHLQUIST CLASSIFICATION

This is a synopsis of the classification of birds of the world. It is based on a loose interpretation of the Sibley-Ahlquist System of classification derived from new understanding of the genetic relationships of birds. This is not intended to be a definitive, comprehensive or scientific exercise but is rather a simple summary for some insight into the new system. All errors are my own and there is no intention to mislead the public. It is my best attempt based on the existing information on Wikipedia to summarise the system to the family level with representative pictures of each family. I am not an ornithologist. I just have an interest in birds. All images used are part of the commons and all authors have been acknowledged at the end of the video.
