Agritourism, educational farm and... Bio-CNG from biomethane! HYSYTECH has reached a new stage in the growth path in the field of technologies related to biofuels, in particular in the construction of biomethane plants to produce CNG (Compressed Natural Gas). This is an important operation that in recent months has allowed the Cascina Bosco Gerolo farm, located in the Piacentino countryside, to integrate its educational farm and agritourism activity with the production of biomethane, to be used directly on site as a fuel for CNG vehicles. The plant started the sale of bio-CNG in February 2022, thus enriching the national leadership in the field of alternative fuels. In fact, Italy today boasts the most advanced European network in terms of methane transport and distribution to users and the first vehicle fleet in Europe (about 1,2 million units). HYSYTECH’s technology to produce biomethane provides a hybrid process based on the optimization of water washing and membrane treatment. The right combination of these two treatments allows to avoid other pre-treatments, minimizing operating costs and the environmental impact of activated carbon.
