Watch more: https://to.pbs.org/45m7zcL | #CaregivingPBS Christine, 59, is a self-described “proud caregiver.” Originally from the Philippines, where she was a florist for 24 years, she left her own family behind and moved to the USA in order to provide for her four children. Today, Christine lives and works in southern California where she has been taking care of Bette five days a week for the past five years. In the Philippines, caring for older adults is deeply embedded in the culture, and Christine brings that to her job. While she loves her work, the sacrifice is enormous and she misses her own children. She dreams of moving home and retiring, but she has made a commitment to stay with Bette until the end. "Caregiving", a documentary created with executive producer Bradley Cooper highlighting the challenges and triumphs of caregiving in America, will premiere Tuesday, June 24, 2025 at 9 p.m. ET on PBS and on the PBS YouTube Channel.
