This episode is from the week of November 18, 1996. Ridge is working on a sketch in his office but keeps thinking about Brooke crying the other night at the Canyon Country Club. Taylor comes in and she's happy about the wedding between her and Ridge in one month. Brooke tells Grant she saw Ridge and Taylor kissing and she's clearly upset over it. Grant is taking it well, even though he and Brooke are now engaged. At a pier house, Mike Guthrie has Maggie tied to a chair and tells her he must kill her so that she won't be in the way anymore and Sheila can marry James. Sheila tells James she had nothing to do with Maggie's kidnapping and even offers to lead him and police to their location. Sheila, James, and police arrive at the pier house. Maggie tells James that her life was threatened because of Sheila. Sheila yells "I saved you!", but Maggie says it was all a front to look good for James. Maggie gives James an ultimatum. Stop treating Sheila as a patient, or Maggie leaves him. Maggie yells: "James, you have to choose; her or me?"
