Biokovo Nature Park is considered by many to be one of the most attractive nature parks in Croatia, stretching 30 km along the Makarska Riviera. The nature park encompasses almost the entire Biokovo, which is part of the Dinarides mountain massif, characterized by high steep cliffs that rise above the Adriatic sea. Sveti Jure is the highest peak of the mountain Biokovo, with a height of 1,762 m. A narrow asphalt road leads to the top of Biokovo, so it is possible to reach the top by car. Climbing to the top of the mountain on one of the hiking trails offers special charms since you can enjoy the magical view of the Makarska Riviera, the nearby islands of Hvar and Brač, and the open sea. You can also visit Skywalk Biokovo by car which is one of the most visited attractions. It is a horseshoe-shaped platform out off the cliff with a glass walkway at an altitude of 1228 meters above the sea level On the way, you can try local specialties in one of the restaurants.
