C JEAN 22AW “The Day After Tomorrow", which uses plant-derived biomaterials to create recycled, functional fabrics that convey the harmony and co-existence between all the living things on Mother Earth , creating a vision of sustainability for the future. C JEAN is an independent Taiwanese design brand founded by designer Chun Yuan Jean. The collections continually convey the brand's core concept that portrays the fundamental connection between human beings and the environment we inhabit via various series of designs. This season, C JEAN continues to act as a pioneer in creating the pieces and suits with its own aesthetic and sustainable materials, in addition, it devoted itself to take on the challenge of sporty design with a minimalist approach to functional clothing. The garment of this particular collection is made up of multiple pieces of fabric cut to fit the curves of the body, using collage pieces that reveal only partial skin to show the strength and beauty of the body. “As we know, the global climate has dramatically changed in recent years ,“ says designer Jean,“the extreme weather, melting icebergs, extinction of certain species, disappearance of habitats, and myriad other unpredictable changes are undoubtedly approaching, be it pandemic or relentless wars, all of which have changed our lives once and for all.” By observing the dramatic changes, Chun Yuan Jean explored the impact of environmental change on human beings, creating C JEAN AW22 collection that brings the concept of environmental protection back to the materials themselves, hoping to respond to contemporary environmental issues through the nature and concept of clothing.
