Grand Rapids Jeep Club (616Jeeps) Overlanding Event - Fall 2022

This video is all about our first ever Overlanding Event for the Grand Rapids Jeep Club. Being Trail Captain for the club, I had a lot of interest in wanting to do an overlanding trip. As I was organizing the event, I knew to make the most of our time, we'd need to do a long weekend and start the event on Thursday night after work. Doing so, I knew we wouldn't have as big of a turn out, but that's okay. We didn't need nor want a large group anyhow. The 6 of us set out on an adventure and boy did we find it. We started off Thursday night by finding our campsite first and foremost, before making some dinner and hanging around the propane fire before heading to bed. The night skies over the trip were phenomenal to capture with the GoPros, especially with the insanely epic Campsite we were able to claim! Day 2 brought lots of scenic trails along with great memories and some not-so-great (crashing the drone) memories haha. Day 3 was more Jeep trails fun, along with some good food and insane scenery along the Manistee River. We ended up with probably my 3rd favorite campsite of all-time near the Manistee River that night before hearing something super spooky. Day 3 was the ending to a wild Overlanding Event. Everyone in the group seemed to have a great time together. Some even got some wheeling and camping experience that was very helpful to them for future adventures. All in all, this was one of my most favorite camping/overlanding/Jeeping trips I've ever been on. It had great company, good trails, epic scenery, good food, and all around good vibes.
