A Perfect Autumn Day Trip to Nara, Japan | Soni Highlands, Muro Art Forest Museum, Cosmos Fields

So we decided to rent a car to check out some local spots in Nara outside of the city center and this brought us to our first stop at a roadside stop called 1) Hari. Eric had to break the seal but also, this place had an amazing little raw egg on rice restaurant beside a local vegetable market so we were both happy. 2) After filling our bellies, we visited a local spot called the Soni Highlands to enjoy the view of the Japanese pampas grass. If you can get here during the fall (particularly during golden hour) then you can get that dreamy golden grass shot that photographers love to take... we unfortunately arrived around lunch time so we did our best lol. 3) Afterwards, we headed to check out the Muro Art Forest Museum which Eric was dying to see, ever since viewing the outdoor museum in Kagoshima. This one had a couple cool installations and maybe if we had time to also check out Muro Temple, then everything would have been more worth it, but by itself...it may just be worth checking out once. 4) Finally, we ended our trip at some ancient ruins where the old capital of Japan used to be, but it is just flattened lands now with a big cosmos flower garden there. Again - GOLDEN HOUR would have been amazing...maybe next time. Thanks again for watching!
