Perhaps West's most distressing outburst to date is the tirade that began Monday night and lasted into Tuesday. He specifically targeted the families of the artists he has supported for years. This blurring of boundaries was never more evident than when Kanye West discussed Jay-Z and Beyonce's kids. The rapper boldly asserted that Jay and Bey's children were "ret*rted" without providing any evidence to back up this claim. "Wait has anyone ever seen Jay-Z and Beyonce's younger kids they're ret*rted," Kanye West tweeted out. "No like literally." The rapper then made some offensive remarks about people with mental impairments and launched into a tirade on artificial insemination. "This is why artificial insemination is such a blessing," he stated. "Having ret*rted children is a choice." West's equally contentious remarks about slavery as a "choice" in 2018 were clearly referenced in the final phrase. Kanye West returned and hurled a few comments at Jay and Bey's family hours after he had made the decision to target them. He reprimanded the pair for selling out and abandoning him. The rapper went on to say that he removed the original message regarding the Carter children because he was afraid his Twitter account would be closed, not because he was sorry.
