In today's video, we are going to talk about Low Visibility Take-off (LVTO). We are going to analyze all the aspects and factors that you need to take into consideration when operating in Low Visibility. When the RVR (Runway Visual Range) is below 800 meters the LVP (Low Visibility Procedure) is in force and if the RVR gets below 400m you need to perform a Low Visibility Take-off (LVTO). There are additional things you need to consider when performing ground operations during Low Visibility. You might need a Take-off alternate, for example, you need to check very closely where you are and where you are going, you need to understand the configuration of the light for your taxi routing and take-off. It is extremely important that you don't cross the CATII/III holding points when the Low Visibility Procedures are in place. Always make sure you have the correct runway lighting system for your takeoff minima. Pay particular attention when lining up for take-off, identify your centerline lights and your edge lights. A good practice is to select the ILS frequency active in order to track the Localizer during your take-off roll. When operating under these conditions it is extremely important to have clear and good communication with ATC at all times, especially if a non-standard situation arises, such as a Rejected Take-off for example. Remember if you are in doubt about your position make sure you stop and ask assistance from the Air Traffic Controller. ---------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------- If you feel like supporting the PILOTCLIMB channel with a donation you can send a PayPal or a crypto transaction to the addresses below: PayPal address: https://www.paypal.me/PilotClimb BTC address: 3DMaWztGYufX9WH33hSVNouwVpMEBA6m1t ETH address: 0x486fcA0234e2950D2068d1171379F5Efb36B911A ------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------ 👇To watch the video regarding RVR Runway Visual Range click the link below👇 • Runway Visual Range (RVR) - [All you need ... 👇To watch the video regarding the Holding Points click the link below👇 • Holding Point Explained, How Can You Avoid... 👇To watch the video about the ILS categories click the link below👇 • ILS Categories - [Learn How To Choose The ... 👇To watch the video about the Displaced Threshold click the link below👇 • Displaced Threshold Explained - [Deep Dive... #PILOTCLIMB Timestamps: 00:00 Intro 00:40 Low Visibility take-off threats 03:23 LVTO important points brief 04:45 Runway Lighting System 09:20 Hot Spots explained 12:08 Importance to talk to ATC during Low Visibility 14:25 Taxi Routing briefing 15:02 Stopbar 15:56 SMGCS 17:01 Importance of setting the ILS frequency for take-off 18:55 Low Visibility Standard Taxi Routing Chart 21:44 Push Back 25:00 Taxi 36:00 Holding point ground collision clearance 38:15 Importance of knowing your lights when lining up 43:07 Low Visibility Take-off LVTO ============================================================== Disclaimer: THIS VIDEO IS FOR ENTERTAINMENT PURPOSES ONLY.
